Get Started

Adding Employees

Employees can be added to Kintaba two ways: manually and via slack integration

Adding employees via Slack Integration

🚧

WARNING: Slack user imports can include ALL Slack users

If your company invites non-employees to your slack instance, these users will show up as importable and should be unselected before import if you do not wish them to receive an invite to Kintaba.

With the Kintaba slack integration you can easily import users from your company's slack instance.

To get started, click the "IMPORT SLACK USERS" button from the Employees page.

This will launch the Slack Import dialog, giving you a list of all slack users who are not already present inside your Kintaba instance along with a list of their associated email addresses.

Select the individual users or use the "Select All" button to select all users in your slack instance.

You can also search for users by name or email, including by domain (ex: "@kintaba.com").

Once you have selected the appropriate users to invite, click "IMPORT SELECTED USERS" and all selected users will be provisioned and receive invites to their Kintaba accounts.

Adding Employees with PagerDuty

With the Kintaba PagerDuty integration you can easily import users from your company's PagerDuty instance.

To get started, click the "IMPORT PAGERDUTY USERS" button from the Employees page.

This will launch the PagerDuty Import dialog, giving you a list of all slack users who are not already present inside your Kintaba instance along with a list of their associated email addresses.

Adding employees manually

Adding a new employee is easy, just navigate to the Employees item in the left-hand menubar and click "Add Employee".

You'll need the new employee's name, position, and email address. We also recommend adding a phone number to make sure the new employee can be reached more quickly.

Kintaba is an open experience which means any employee added to Kintaba can see, create, and interact with all incidents
